With its bold features and striking tones, the Huatulco accent rug adds a warmth and is almost certain to steal to show. Inspired by ancient Zapotec designs, this rug is a true reflection of its history. Handwoven in a flat weave of 100% sheep’s wool, it is soft yet extremely durable and perfect for adding a bold splash of colour to those high traffic areas.
 
Created by a cooperative of powerful women, these products are designed to reflect their Zapotec roots. Each rug takes one full week to weave after a lengthy process of collecting, carding and hand dying locally sourced wool using native plant extracts. All of this in a fair-trade environment.
 
We recommend a rug underlay to reduce slip and wrinkles.
